Ferrari Introduces Changes In Car Designs Ahead Of Weekend Race

Ferrari has new technologies and design features that it unveils from time to time.

The recent efforts of the company were to launch a front wing innovative design for the vehicles that would be racing in Russia. It is probably a result of the first victory that the team achieved in Russia. The other innovations include a superior and more upgraded motor engine.

James Allison, technical director of the company, back from suffering a traumatic incident in his life following the death of his wife, has been instrumental in pushing for the changes. These changes are in response to challenge the opposing Mercedes team. The upcoming weekend race in Russia will see the new changes put into action. Kimi Raikkonen and Sebastian Vettel would be flaunting new rides with these changes. Ferrari has informed most media sources of these changes being put in place for the upcoming races.

Ferrari F1 no closer to Mercedes, says Marko

Helmut Marko, the advisor for Red Bull Racing believes that the chasing pack has almost no chance of catching up to the pace setting Mercedes F1 team. He added that despite finishing on the podium with Sebastian Vettel in third place, Ferrari F1 has not really made much headway into catching up with the German team.

The performance of the Silver Arrows at the season opening Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne saw Red Bull Racing urge the FIA to come up with some sort of equalising measure to reduce the huge gulf in class between them and the chasing pack while F1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone wants things between the cars to be levelled out a bit more.

Mercedes claimed another one-two finish at Melbourne last weekend with Formula One Drivers’ world champion Lewis Hamilton taking the win followed by teammate Nico Rosberg and with new Ferrari F1 driver Vettel finishing in third place, although almost 30 seconds behind Hamilton in first.

Marko added that despite its third placed finish, the Italian outfit hasn’t really closed the gap on Mercedes and added that the chasing will not be catching up to the Silver Arrows soon. He said that the performance of the Scuderia team must be seen relatively, adding that they are not any closer to Mercedes, they have just improved upon last year.

He went on to add that no one at Red Bull Racing believes that with the restrictions in its current form, no other team can manage to catch up with Mercedes. He said that if one doesn’t have that engine, they don’t have the chance.

Even matching up of Sainz and Verstappen from Franz Tost

A reversed line of order is set for the tenth season of Formula 1 by Toro Rosso, the team principal since Carlos Sainz and Max Verstappen are going to form the young driver pair in the history of Formula 1. Tost considers the latest drivers of Redbull as diamonds.

He has great expectations from the duo. He feels that they will live up to their expectations. One might have an upper hand than the other in qualifying round.

In the Constructor’s Championship, he aims that his team finishes in the fifth position. It all depends on the power unit of the car and he does not find any problem with driving as though the drivers are inexperienced it is a good learning step for them. Toro Rosso has the aim of providing young riders a pool to enter F1. The team had difficulties in completing the races which they want to make correct. Second season however, for the team was better with clean cars. From Renault good performance is expected. It is the racing track which will decide the fortune.
